Bike & Build is 501c3 organization that runs cross country cycling trips to raise money and awareness for affordable housing causes nationwide. Our program is geared towards young adults, ages 18-25 (riders can't be older than 25 and participate - our trip leaders can be as old as 28). In 2009 we will have eight different routes starting in 7 different cities up and down the East Coast, which will see ~240 cyclists head West starting between mid-May and late June. We cater to mostly novice cyclists who are in college or have just graduated. Since we started in 2003, and including the 2008 programming season, we will have donated over $1.5 million to Habitat for Humanity, Rebuilding Together, and a host of smaller regional organizations across the country. Each one of our 750+ alumni will tell you that this is the experience of a lifetime.
